i think that what we have now is fine, although i haven't been here for long. The thing is, with what we have now you can type paragraphs and one liners. So if someone does get writers block, they dont have to worry about getting in trouble for not posting three lines or whatnot.

I am cautiously in favor of the idea. I tend to type longer responses most of the time anyway, and anything that would get more rpers in the Valley is a good idea to my mind.
I also agree about the character profiles.

I would definatley RP there. I usually paragraph RP, but it's really hard to RP with a solid two paragraph when you only have one line to respond to.

I agree absolutely there, Farnley. It's very hard to write more than a line or two when that's all you have to work with.

Well I wasw talking with Nightfeathers, as she roleplays in paragraphs, and she has created a tips and hints to paragraph roleplays. This I think would help make the paragraph roleplays go smoother, for people who are having problems or wanting to learn how.
And yes it is all well and wonderful to start a roleplay thread with the intentions for it being a paragraph roleplay, writing this and any rules you wish to add into the first post. But when you are on page three and someone just wants to join in, and does not read page one it could really interrupt the whole roleplay.

Ok a board has been created, let us see how it fairs. I will be putting a notice on PI about the creation of this board and I hope that Nightfeathers will post her Tips and Hints. Please do not feel afrad to join, it might be nice, and 2 paragraph with the tips Nightfeather gives is managable. If you really do not like the paragraph roleplays, there is no need for you to join one. Let us all be supposrtive of this idea.

Alright, before I turn my movie back on I feel that I need to address to this. As I said a bit earlier, there will be a board 'makeover' soon, and I will be flipping about the boards, re-organizing them and condensing them as I see fit. So, if the seperate boards for paragraph RPs isn't a well-favored idea, we'll condense the two boards. You will have the option to create mini-rules for your RPs, such as specifying whether it is a paragraph or "free" roleplay. Until then the boards will stay separate. I personally am a Paragraph RPer only (unless I'm just playing around, not true roleplay) and generally write very long posts. ( www.webring2.com/5/ClanCats/viewtopic.php?t=74 ) I agree from the viewpoint of a Paragraph RPer that it's very annoying when things are going much faster than you wish to keep up with. There's a difference between just slipping into your character's skin to play for a while and immersing yourself into the writing. Elaborating on detail and setting while building aspects of the character's personality is very important to many writers. It's like swimming - some people want to just dip in and splash about with their friends, but other people want to fully experience the peculiar feeling of being underwater. Everyone has their own ideas about which is better, but arguing about it is like arguing over which color is the best. We should all be able to sympathize with others' preferences, and we still need to respect the fact that some people might be irritated by a pool full of splashing people - or a roleplay that's moving too quickly. Also, on the topic of the character boards, I can see where you're going. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of relationships between pykiin when they're scattered throughout the forum. I'll think on this one and have more to the subject later, but as we're cleaning up the boards anyways it might be a good idea to scoot all of the roleplays back into the roleplay boards. Thank you for listening, and I encourage you all to at least try a paragraph roleplay. Who knows - you might be enticed to write more with your pykiin characters that you've known for a long time and are already comfortable playing with. Also, to Nightfeathers and ditzeeblonde - it might be easier for you if you create your own roleplays and ask that only one or two pykiin are used per person. There are literally hundreds of pykiin frolicing around the boards right now, and it'll get confusing fast if someone decides to play seven of theirs at the same time Welcome to the Valley!

So far we have had a few people join, it seems easy enough. It is out of the comfort zone though of what we are all used to I know.
I have a few ideas that could work to help organize the boards, but not too sure how they would quite work yet. I know how much work goes into the making of a roleplay forum, and I dont' want things not to flow
