EDITED Ok I am going to write this a tad slower and explain a bit more.
I was wondering what everyone thinks about adding another forum specifically for paragraph roleplays. I am not asking for a personal answer, I am asking for a general answer. The Paragraph roleplay forum would have it's own set of rules and would be for people who want a slower pased roleplay. This may also bring new roleplayers into the valley, which is something I think we need. Keeping them in a forum makes it easy for people who do not like the paragraph roleplays to avoid them.
So with all that what do you think?

Yes, I have to agree with Sinsoo. The reason I don't roleplay on PI is because I don't like the rules about the three lines thing. This is a more relaxed place, in my opinion.
I know you meant that not all people have to do it, and it's only for people who want to, but I think it's a lot easier, personally, if there's only one RP board, and we just use that one. *shrug*

No, you're being perfectly clear. I, personally, just don't care for the idea. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, and I'm not saying you shouldn't do it. I understand what you mean, though.

I think that is and okay idea.It might get a little confusing with 2 rp boards.I might join some threads in that area, but sometimes I have writers block during the rp and if I can't think of anything to say in paragraphs then I don't think I would really ever reply.Maybe if we agree with the rule then we can post at the top "please post at least one paragraph"or something instead of making a whole new board.

Ok I am also asking that you look at it from a group point of view, to maybe bring some newcomers into the valley
not a personal level.
I know some days I would rather slow it down a bit and enjoy a roleplay, instead of trying to fight to get my response out before the situation changes. I am no good at paragraph roleplays but would they help the Valley?
Or shoudl anyone who wants a paragraph roleplay just state so in the first post?

Kumon you and I were in the same zone about maybe just posting. although I am not to sure how it would be confusing. Look how many roleplays are going now, adding another board for paragraph ones I don't see as a bad thing.
I would liek to see other peoples opinions

Personally I prefer paragraph RP. I dont generally do one liners.

I have seen many adoptables who do paragraph roleplays and do really well, and I see people who do simple roleplays do well, but why coudln;t pykiin offer both?
I am goign to try and do it with my Ishmahri and I thought it might be nice, allowing more people to roleplay, is all I am trying to say.
BTW- Nightfeathers would you like me to create a board for you to place your kiin?

Part of the reason i hate it is because I have to make up stuff taht has nothing to do with the plotline. Like those filler episodes on your favorite TV show I hate it.

I see no reason you shouldnt. Those who dont want to can still use the other one. Not like they will lose anything or be dragged in right? ETA I know itd make me want to RP. Though from the looks of things I might be alone. X) I doubt Id join the one liners though. And if you want it I have tip sheet I wrote out for RP in general but focussing partly on paragrah RP.

But sinsoo, you are thinking only for yourself, you don;t necessarily have to join them, I am thinking for the entire Pykiin Valley, do you think this might help attracta few more people? Maybe get a few more people who signed up to roleplay?
This is all I am asking, if you don't want to join a paragraph roleplay, you dont have to. I just thought with their own forum they could have a whle set of rules that way if you want to join a simple roleplay you know to avoid the ones in that forum.

I would roleplay with you, although I m no good at paragraph roleplays but the one liners can be a bit too fast paced for me somedays. and I would love to learn how o roleplay in paragraph style.
and Please send me the tips, I would love to see them and I do intend to lobby for this to kitty13. I think it would draw in a few more people and I think the valley needs more people

Personally I don't see the difference between 'paragraph rping' and what we are doing now. Very often when we write we're writing a good chunk of text anyway. Basically the only difference is to force someone to write more than what occurs to them at the moment. I feel that is a discouragement to people who rp, mainly because as others have said it forces someone to sit down and say "Okay, I've written what I want to post...but I'm not allowed to post it yet because there's a rule that says I have to write more. Now what can I add to let me say what I want to say, even though I've already said it?" That's a very uncomfortable situation to be in, I would think. I also agree that it would be confusing to have more than one place to rp. As it is, I feel uncomfortable with all the rping that goes on in the Character Profiles. To me we should keep all rp's to one spot, so we know where to go. Of course, I'm not going to run around demanding that there be a rule that no one is allowed to rp in the Character Profiles. I'm just saying that I don't do it at all, because it confuses me. I think having a different section for anyother type of rping would be just as confusing. So, in my opinion, this wouldn't be a good idea. But that's just my thoughts on the subject.
