This month my Pykiin decided they wanted to go on a trip so the theme was Simple:
[glow=blue,2,300]Topic:[/glow] Visit to Disneyland
Theme:
This is a story writing contest to describe what one of my pykiin would feel like in Disneyland, or disneyworld. You may choose the park itself, a specific ride or attraction, or maybe the Disney Characters he/she will meet.
The Judges and I read over the three entries and although the opinions were different, majority rules in voting. So our Winner this month is:
[glow=Green,2,300]Siofra[/glow]
with this story:
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Kitty.[/glow]
"Kitty"
That was a word Pele hoped she would never hear again. Her wings flared slightly as she leapt through the crowd, using stands and the occasional tourist for leverage, searching desperately for a little girl with Mickey Mouse ears, a Sleeping Beauty dress, and a certain black fluffball that just so happen to be her daughter.
"Nuri!" she cried, trying to be heard above the noise, before straining her ears for a response. This caused several tourists to swivel their heads her way and wonder if that cotton candy had gone straight to their heads. She ignored them, crying out again. "NURI!"
"Whoa." Pele spun around to see a woman in a skimpy blue outfit staring at her. "Hey, Joh- Aladdin? Um, did you hear anything about something escaping from the zoo?"
"Uh, no-" he managed, before being distracted by a mob of humans screeching his name.
"I am /not/ one of your caged animals," Pele snarled, her frustration getting the best of her.
"Holy-" The woman shut her mouth, glancing towards the human kits. She dropped her voice low. "You speak?" Pele fixed her with a glare.
"I do not have time for this! I need to find my daughter!"
"You mean there's another of you running around?" she asked, raising her eyebrow.
"Yes! And a human kit stole her!" Pele fought sudden tears, and was surprised when the human reached out, stroking her head comfortingly.
"Hey, come on now, I'll help you find her."
"Really?" Pele asked, jumping up.
"Sure, but be quick, because we need to get out of here before those kids notice me." The firey pykiin leapt on her shoulders, and the woman darted off through the crowd.
The human, who her fellows called 'Jasmine,' stopped many similarly costumed people, all the while dodging the children like a pro. Pele stood high on her shoulders, trying to spot her daughter. Suddenly she heard a cry of 'Momma!' from a very familiar voice. Jasmine turned so that they both could see a woman wearing armor jog up to them, holding up Nuri.
"I've always wanted to order those soldiers around," she announced, grinning. "This who you're looking for?"
Pele quickly scooped Nuri out of the other woman's arms. "Thank you so much-!" she cried, hugging her daughter to her chest.
"No prob. Now, no offense, but I think we've got bigger problems on our hands..." The woman laughed as she turned towards a crowd of children crying out for her attention. Pele quickly took wing before one of them decided Nuri was a pet again. She was never going to let PonyMama chose a vacation destination for them again.

A wonderful Plot line and use of characters. It does show a darker side of the Parks that may not usually be thought of. The loss of a child in a park that big is an everyday occurance. Pele's loss kept us reading making us hope that Nuri was found. A Wonderful story, thank you.
Congrats.
