"Okay, just call me on my home phone in about ten minutes and let me know if it's okay with your parents."
GWAH.
Is it just me, or is calling people on the telephone a really uncomfortable thing? I can answer the phone just fine, and I'm completely okay with talking to strangers, but I can't even call my own grandmother without having butterflies spawn in my stomach. Sorry... that just sounded a lot wierder than I meant it to.
I mean, in person, I talk to these people all the time and everyone's happy, la ti da in a biscuit, right? And then I get on the phone and I feel like a dweeb and I have no idea what to say, so I end up saying a million different versions of the word "yes" and sounding completely fake.
Arrrgh. I have phone-a-phobia.

argg, i hate talking on phones. I always end up making up lame excuses like 'i need to get in the shower' so i can hang up. I even do it with my best friend. Its horrible, i know.
We should make a phone-a-phobia club!
*gets out marker and starts to draw a sign for the phone-a-phobia club*

I am the same way! If I like somebody like boyfriends and what not I don't even give them my phone number because I can't talk on the phone. I am mostly scared of the awkward silences. HATE them!! I can usually talk to family though because my family is very talkative...

I thought I was the only person who felt like that!

I am the exact opposite. I am afraid to pick up the phone but I can call people just fine...

WHOA! This is crazy! Revelation for the masses time! Lets go find Thomas Edison and let him know how uncomfortable he has made our lives. That call wasn't so bad. It would have been better if Dad didn't randomly get the idea that hey, he needs to pitch in and provide a ride to cover most of the driving in the middle of my call xD I still like texting so much better. And there's a mosquito in my teacup.

You should try be like me and my friend Louise. We have to phone eachotehr long distance and half the time we don't even talk about anything. There are times when I am talking to her on MSN and then phone her just to talk to everyone else on MSN.
I think I am weird too.
No I used to hate phoning people, but now it is fine, I just can't leave messages.

xDD
It's the re-awakening of the fly in the soup joke! Good memories xD
Hahah, that sounds like the opposite of something I would do, PM. I would much rather turn the conversation from phone to chat. "Um... kay... you want to chat on MSN?"

Well most people I know can't keep up with my typing so I tend to be four conversations ahead of them before they answer

I have to agree Kay, texting is much better, infact I'm texting my friend Brandy (the one who is on a plane to Arizona as I type this) Without texting I wouldn't be able to talk to her to ease her mind through the plane ride, she's one of those people who are more for the ground if you know what I mean.

I've never liked the phone not even when I was little. You know how your parents call when they go on a trip I used to hang up on my parents...lol bad baby!

When I text, I have time to think about what to write. And besides that... I can keep them for as long as I like and look at them when I need a boost of confidence <3
"Waiter, waiter! There's a fly in my soup!" "Shh, don't be so loud! Everyone's going to want one now."
The actual joke is downright corny but... good memories. I'm afraid to squish this thing that is feeding off the dregs at the bottom of my cup.
