I only say get them pieced by a professional becasue there are so many things that could go wrong. I have a friend who is a professional body piercer and he has seen many piercings go very wrong.

I have had my ears pierced 11 times each and each time they have been professionally done. So much nicer and they heal quicker as they were done properly and cleanly

Yea, Ive heard that, and experienced it on my second holes. My first ones I was too young to remember, only in chunks, but they got the darn gunm stuck on my ear. >.<

Heh, if you want to go ahead (somewhere professional!). But really, I've kind of stopped wearing earrings - they were my favorite thing for half a year, then I found that my ears are fine the way they are. *shrugs* It all depends on your personal interest in them, though.

Whoa. 11? That's crazy. Interesting, though... I don't really pay attention to ears, I guess xD
*turns back to her project* No looky!

I have two in each but don't wear earrings much, but the first hole has been there the better part of 28 years sooo it is quite perminate. The second set I have had for about 8-10 I guess and keep earrings in them just enough to keep them there. I normally (till this past year ) wore my earrings constantly but a couple years ago I had my cartilidge pierced then a year later one of my two year olds noticed it and stuck his finger in the hoop and said "Ring" the dang thing got so infected that I had to have the hoop literally cut out of my ear. I have been lax in keep in my lobes ever since. I guess I need to get a new set of gold earrings to keep in them

I just got mine perireced for my birthday this year. Not painful at all! I did it with a professional tho. I suggest asking this to yourself. Will I were earing in them after I can swap earings? Will I really have seconds thoughts about it?

I had my ears pierced last summer. I'm 17 and if my parents had found out at the time, they would have killed me. I didn't want them done either...but I was forced to. =/ I was over at two girl's house I didn't know very well, out of the country from where I live and they pierced my ears. It was very painful...I'd never suggest you doing it. If you HAVE to have thirds, get them done professionally. But I wouldn't suggest it...it's 2 in each, enough? I mean, you don't want them to look gaudy or anything...
