Akiyama tilted his head, wondering if he'd said something wrong to Addei. He heard Sorka's gasp and took in a hesitant breath of air. "Sorka?" He questioned, running out of the den, following her. When he finally caught up, he asked, "Sorka, are you okay? What's wrong?"

Sorka ran until she reached the river. The icy flow, the rock-filled bed, fit her mood. Her thoughts tumbled incoherently. After a moment, she realized that Akiyama was beside her, was speaking to her. "No, no, I'm not. Please," she paused, trying to force the words out. It was one of the hardest things she had ever tried to do. "Please, go back to the others. To Addei. I'll be back when I feel ready." She bowed her head, almost seeming to collapse in on herself.

"Sorka," Akiyama murmured, feeling helpless. "I don't want to leave you out here, though. It's cold." He frowned; no matter what was wrong, he wasn't about to leave his friend alone.

"Cold to numb the pain," she murmered, half to herself. "Ah, to think of love, and yet do I dare?" Sorka's words were barely intelligible, as she spoke to the uncaring ice and stone of the river. "It's too early, I daren't. And still I cannot stop." Slow tears seeped out of her eyed and froze on the rock below, unnoticed. Then she seemed to realize Akiyama was still there. Shaking the moisture from her face, she said more clearly, "Please, go. You must know how you confuse my thoughts and feelings. Go back to Addei, tell my daughter all is well."

Akiyama heard words that sounded like mumbling. Words he could not understand. When he finally made out her words, he was confused. "No, I don't know." He sighed and his face softened, sadness for his friend still apparent. "I'll tell Sonea you are alright. If you're not back by the time that someone new is 'it' in their little game, though, I'm coming back to look for you," he warned, simply wanting to be sure she was going to be alright.
He turned around and headed slowly back for the den.
Ichigo chased after Sonea, poking her when she stopped moving. She started to run off, then asked, "What's wrong?" She could tell that something was troubling her friend.

"Mama ran away." Sonea was staring at the entrance, frozen in place. "Why did Mama run away?"
Sorka gave no indication that she had heard Akiyama's words. She just sared into the turbulent water, still as ice.

Ichigo tilted her head, "I'm sure she's okay. She probably just wanted to make some snowballs!" She smiled, trying to think positively.
Akiyama walked hesitantly into the den, looking at Sonea and Ichigo, whom he saw first. "Sonea, your mom said that she's alright." He walked in and sat down, watching the two kiin. "Tell me when someone else is it, Ichigo."

"If you say so," Sonea answered, unconvinced. She did turn away from the den't entrance to look at Ichigo, though. "What were we doing?"

Addei frowned did she spark this by speaking of love? She hung her head even lower so her nose was nearly touching the cave floor. "She's fine right?" She asked taking small breaths of air and trying to remain clam for the 'Kiin.
Her heart was being tugged, she didn't know how exactly to explain how she was feeling. It was like everytime he spoke any word to her, her heart jumped. It was an exciting rushing feeling, and made her stomach a bit uneasy, but she loved it. Maybe Sorka got that feeling too. What would Addei do if she was once again left alone.
Slowly Adelina raised her paw and wiped underneath her eye. She didn't think she was crying, but in all honesty she hadn't been thinking clearly for the past few moments.
Brandy rolled from where she was laying and a wondering tone of voice she asked her mother in a hushed whisper, "Mother, Mother can you hear me?" She playfully flicked her mane before Brandy shook her head and wondered over to Ichigo. "My mommy is upset too." A small tear fell from her eye but she quickly wiped it away, "Can we still play tag?"

"We were playing tag," Ichigo answered Sonea hesitantly. She looked to Brandy, then to her Addei, turning her head to her father, whom she saw out of the corner of her eye. "What happened?" She asked her friends, noticing all of them seemed a little out of it.
Akiyama sighed; now Addei appeared upset. Had he done something? What? He noticed that Addei was hiding her face, and Sorka had yet to return.
He walked wordlessly out of the den and walked toward the back, carefully covering his pawprints in the snow one after the other. He did not like the tension back in the den.

"Mama's not happy," Sonea said quietly. She forced a smile as she asked, "Who was it?"
Sorka stared into the water, lowering her head to look at the fragmented reflection it cast back. Why had she reacted so to Addei and Akiyama's words? To words of love? Was it just that she was still raw from her last love, or was it something more? She was almost afraid to know.

(( I know it's getting harder for me to be on at the same time as the two of you, so I'd like to propose a 'schedual' type thing.
Maybe we can post in some kind of order to stop confusion, I know that I don't really enjoy reading 1-2 pages of Sorka and Akiyama speaking, and I know it can't be that enjoying to read2-3 pages of Addei and Akiyama speaking. So, I'd like to propose an order in which we post. Ex. Panda posts first, so Rea you would follow, then I would post after the two of you. If one person doesn't post for a while, everyone else has to wait for their reply. I think it would help, and not have others left behind. ^^ ))
Brandy shook her head, "Momma is just upset, I'm not sure what's wrong." She half smiled half frowned then stated, "I think Ichigo was it."
Addei lifted her head and looked at the little ones, "I think I'm going to get some air, do you three think you can handle yourselves?" And without another word or glance, she walked outside and sat in the snow just a few feet from the cave entrance. As always she looked to the sky hoping the Dryad would have some kind of advice in this kind of situation, but like usual nothing came of it. Adelina with a blank expression on her face listened in to the cave as she swirved her paws in the snow.

Ichigo looked nodded and smiled as best she could, trying to raise the mood from whatever had happened. "Okay, I guess I'm still it, then! I think that we can handle ourselves," she smiled to Addei.
After probably ten minutes had passed, Akiyama sighed and walked back to the front of the den, ready to go find Sorka.
He saw Addei at the front of the den, playing with the snow. "Are you okay?" He asked, wanting to make sure that she was before going to check on Sorka.

"That's right," Sonea said, remembering. She started running away from Ichigo.
Sorka finally lifted her eyes from the icy river, calmer if not calm. She heaved a sigh and turned away to face Akiyama's new den. With a final glance at the water, she started off to rejoin the others.
