You seem to be attracting a bit of attention, he thought to himself, seeing a green female approach. He wasn't surprised. He didn't look quite like any of these beings gathered around. Perhaps he was the first of his kind they had ever seen. Truthfully, he had never seen another quite like himself, so perhaps he was the first of his kind anyone had ever seen...
Slowly he got to his feet, liking the sound of Yume's suggestion. "Shelter would be nice," he said. "What of this large tree here?" He turned and looked up at the branches again. "She seems to be the best shelter around. If we could find a spot by her trunk to lay down and rest, I would be most appreciative. My home...." He trailed off, frowned, and then started again. "What was once my home is five days to the south, and I've slept little since leaving there."

"She is the Dryad. She sort of protects the Valley, and shares her magic with us," Yume explained. "I haven't heard much more than that, though," she admitted.
"Five days..." Yume murmered, amazed that Shiranui was... here, in good health. "Please sleep as long as you need," she said. "After all, five days without sleep can't be good! You need to catch up," she said firmly, but still smiling. "I'm sure the Dryad would be fine with you sleeping in her shelter," she told him, sitting down again on the grass.

"Ah, the Dryad." Addei stated, "Yes, she would make a good shelter, well at least untill you found a more perminant place to stay." Addei smiled, "She's the source of our existance, so I highly doubt she would mind you using her for shelter."
"Aw, hun you need rest." addei stated acting like a somewhat mother, "With that long journey, its amazing your not on the hinge of death." Adelina watched the surface of the water, the water seemed so calm and serine.

"The Dryad..." murmured Shiranui. "What an enchanting name. I can tell she is an amazing creature." He stood a littel wobbly, but tried to hide it. They were all obviously so concerned with him! He must try to appear well, even if he didn't feel it. It would be cruel to make them worry more.
"Not quite close to death," he laughed lightly, starting to walk toward the great trunk of the Dryad. "Though I will admit a long sleep will do me well. And food afterward. And then a good grooming," he looked down at his fur (now damp as well as tangled) and sighed. "But yes, I think soon I will be feeling normal again."
He walked up to the Dryad and found a comfortable spot nestled between two round roots. Gratefully he collapsed into the little depression between them with a happy sigh, his chin resting on his paws. "Thank you for all your help so far," he told everyone, interrupted at the end by a great yawn. "When I regain my strength, I promise to answer any questions you may have of me. It's the least I can do to repay you."

After another moment of gaping like a fish out of water, she realized how rude she was being. She shut her mouth with an audible click and watch the other Pykiin and the nine-tailed one with cuirousity written all over her face.
Who were they? She might have seen them around boefre, or heard about them, but she didn't remember them. And what was he? What was his name? Where did he come from? She wanted to ask these question, and get right in his face whiel she did so. But he looked weary. And even though it was nearly non-existant, she did have a reputation she had to uphold. And said reputation was not of her acting like a silly little 'Kiin.

Feeling safe and if not completely well, then content to be on the mend, Shiranui allowed his eyes to close. Although he planned to listen to the sounds of the Dryad for a while, the moment the darkness enclosed, he was fast asleep. (And so I shall sleep as well! But no worry, both of us shall wake tomorrow!  ) |

Brandy looked at her mother and gave her a sly smirk she then wispered, "I'm tired too." And before Adelina could grasp her and pull her in so she didn't take off, Brandy was carefully crawling around Shiranui trying to find a comfortable place to snuggle in. She soon came to a spot to which she wiggled herself into, just under his arm, she smiled comfortably and fell to sleep with his thick pelt keepin her warm.
Adelina shook her head, it would be another restless night as she would need to stay close to make sure Brandy was going to be fine. Addei layed near the water and dipped her tail in, the water was cool as was the night and she couldn't help but get a chill every now and then. The slight breeze that occured every now and then hadn't helped her sake much, she gave a heavy sigh and closed her eyes. Adelina let her mind wander a bit, but she was sure not to let it go too far as she still had her daughter to listen for.

Yume smiled at the little kit and walked over to the brown Pykiin, sitting down next to her. "Sweet little things, kits," she said, looking at the little one who was called 'Brandy'. "Though tiresome, at times," she said, nodding and tilting her head toward Adelina, then looking back at Shiranui and Brandy, smiling as she watched the two sleep, chuckling a little to herself.

"Yes, its amazing I've been albe to keep up with this one." Adelina smiled as she peered off in the distance at her daughter who seemed to be engulfed by Shiranui's coat. "You recently had kits did you not?" Adelina asked.

"Yes, but they're with their father. When I go on my little stroll every morning, he takes care of Ichigo and Kiriya for the time that I'm gone. Granit, they're usually asleep, anyway," Yume laughed, wondering what the three were up to today. "Did you have another kit?" Yume asked, thinking that most kits usually came in pairs, with the occasional triplet.

"Yes, but he's usually off with their father, Brandy's not like him, Taegue I mean, she likes to hang around me and truth be told she barely sleeps so I'm amazed she's off with Shiranui. She must feel comfortable or somthin'." Addei nodded her head, and thought to her slef, 'It's got to be hard on her, no real father figure around.'
The wind picked up and sent Addei's hair into a furry, but she didn't seem to mind. Adelina just kept her gaze on her reflection on the water's surface.

Yume smiled at the wind, "I think... that kits and kiin, well, some, anyway, feel a little more safe around Pykiin they don't know, since they don't know anything faults to the person. I don't think that they know anything but wonder, curiousity, and kindness when they are hatched, so they don't even think about something bad happening." She sighed, "And, in a way, it's kind of nice. Since they meet more friends that way, and the Valley really isn't a dangerous place."

"I never figure anyone could hurt her, I just worry. I guess its somthin' in my blood." Adelina shook her head so her bangs fell into her face. "Like way back when I always used to worry about Chase -a fellow pounce mate of mine- but I don't do so, much anymore. He's got a family of his own and his daughters are gorgeous, but not just in looks Chey is so much like her father is scares me. And Blaine and his daughter are just alike, Danita and Eli are quite close as well. It's different for Brandy and me though, we don't exactly click, ya'know?" She was begining to talk in her oh so familiar southern accent now, which meant she wasn't so concerned.
Adelina pulled her tail out of the water and shook it sending the water droplets flying in all directions, she shrugged nonchalantly and stuck it back in the water.

"I've only known you both for a few minutes," Yume said, maintaining her usual smile. "But you both seem to 'click' fine. I mean, maybe if you just did more stuff together," she said, beginning to think of some more games and things to do with her own kits. "You seem to be a great mother," said Yume, flicking her bushy tail up and down, something she always did when she truelly meant something. (I've got to go to bed. Good night!  |

"Thank you," Adelina stated hapily someone else thought so. She then layed her head down on her paws, and closed her eyes. It had been a long day and she figured a slight nap wouldn't harm anything but before she let herslef drift off she stated to Yume, "I'm sorry hun, I seem to be a tad tired." she then spaced and drifted to a somewhat slumber though she still remained awake just incase Brandy needed her.
