(It's amazing - I'm actually back. xD Although I will be leaving with choir for our tour to England on Sunday, I'm here to RP until then. ^-^ Will someone please join me ?  (Please excuse my rusty RP skills... >.> I'm sure they'll be downright horrid for a while. ^-^;; ) ) Mayonaka grinned as he sat at the edge of the pond with his son Kazuki and nephew, Kawa. Honoo sat perched in the high branches of the Dryad, watching them from afar. Kazuki snickered a bit and jumped in the water, flicking little droplets of it at Kawa, who closed his eyes to avoid water getting into them but laughing silently. Ever now and again a little sound popped out of his mouth, but nothing like a normal laugh. After a few moments he jumped into the water and splashed both Kazuki and May with a fairly large wave. Kazuki, the only kiin present, was hit with the worst of it. May laughed but stepped back, shaking himself dry of the water. He sat down and concentrated for a moment, bringing a small body of heat around himself until he was just barely damp. He then returned back to his place by the pond, laughing once again with his son and nephew. "Just make sure you guys don't splash anyone too badly if they walk by, okay, guys?" May winked, hoping that they wouldn't disturb passerby, although he knew that they probably would. Kazuki and Kawa looked at him, smirked and went back to splashing, making an even bigger mess outside of the pond than they had previously, laughing all the while. |

A silent white shaped moved under the water, watching the young as they splashed about. She wondered if they'd like a real splash.
She swam quickly towards them and quickly jumped out of the water and back in, creating quite a large splash. She went to the bottom of the pond and waited.

Kazuki jumped with he saw a small flash of white pop out of the water accompanied by a huge splash of water. His eyes widened and he froze for a moment before glaring at Kawa. "You did that, didn't you, Kawa?" He glared for a moment longer then grinned and splashed Kawa with as much water as he could. He laughed as he continued to paddle the water out of the pond at his cousin.
Kawa closed his eyes and swam toward the edge of the pond, trying to get out. When Kawa stopped to see why he wasn't playing along, Kawa was still wiping water from his face. He eventually finished and looked at Kazuki, shaking his head and pointing his paw toward him, then the water. He mouthed the words, "Not me."
The little red kiin looked under him, wondering what it could have been. Kawa sat on the edge of the pond, dipping his tail into the water hesitantly. After a few moments he swirled his tail around on the surface of the water as though he were fishing. Kazuki continued to stare into the water, amazed at how dark it seemed when he was looking for something or someone.
May looked at them and asked, "What're you doing?"
"Looking for someone or something. Now hush, Dad." Kazuki said, not bothering to look up. He had a smile in his voice though; he was excited for some sort of adventure, though he was a little nervous, yet still a little doubtful that he'd get a good adventure out of this one.

She swam amongst the weeds along the bottom, sneaking up on the little red one. She lept out of the water again, creating another splash and dove down.

Kazuki became still when he felt the weeds along the bottom of the pond move around beneath his paws, then jumped and screamed when more water splashed him. "Dad!" He said, looking at May with fear and excitement. "You know the Lockness Monster?" The smile on his face grew to a wide grin. "I think that she's swimming under my feet!"
May looked at him, then to Kawa and smirked. "Then I guess you'd better be the hero and catch our dear Nessie before she bites someone."
"Got it, Dad." Kazuki stared at the water harder than ever, trying to catch a hint of whatever was splashing the water. Every so often when he saw a fish or something move about, he made a quick snatch at it with his paws, missing the two that he saw.

(Sorry to dissappear so long...moving is difficult >.<)
She slowly swam over to the side, amongst the weeds and crept along the bottom, watching the splashes and giggled to herself. She swam to the top and popped out of the water grinning at the group.
"Hi!" she replied as her orange hair dripped down her face and her yellow ears wiggled.

(That's alright - congrats on moving?  I'm sorry I was gone for so long. ^-^;; I forgot I was logged in and was working in PS... Lol. Are you excited to be moving? ) Kazuki looked at the girl in confusion. "Hi...? Um, who are you? You don't look like Nessie." Mayonaka laughed as he debated whether or not to correct his son's manners, but decided he was just having good simple fun. Kawa looked at the girl in silence, wondering what she was doing swimming around at the bottom of the pond. He took his tail out of the water and simply looked at her, then to his red fluffy cousin wondering who would speak first. |

(Very excited, moved from a tiny apartment to a large house ) "Well, I would hope I don't look like Nessie," she replied as she stepped out of the water, "I'm no monster, just a simple Syren." (Ooo, that'll be great! Congrats~ ;D ) "Hi, Summer," Kazuki said, looking at the beautiful Syren and snapping out of his little confusion-daze. "Are you new? I've never seen a "Syren" before..." Kawa looked at him and quickly shook his head, indicating that what he said was rude. "Anyways, if you are new, Summer, welcome to the Valley." Mayonaka smiled, trying to speak over his son's mildly-rude little comment. "I'm Mayonaka, but I guess you could call me may -considering most people do-" he chuckled before turning to Kawa. "This is my nephew, Kawa, and that little red fluffball you are talking to is my son, Kazuki. It's great to meet you." Kawa nodded his head and smiled, and Kazuki agreed, "Yeah, it is nice to meet you!" (Hey, congrats on getting Summer! I was wondering who won her but I didn't think to go look in the thread... xD ) |

(Thanks I"m pretty stoked about getting her) "Thanks May," Summer replied looking over at the large red pykiin. "It's nice to meet you all. I met a human who told me to come this direction and I'd find pykiin. I believe I belong to Jade's pounce, but she said their main den area doesn't have any water, so I'll be looking for a place eventually. I wish to explore first." "And don't worry little one, we are few in the valley at the moment, but we are coming back, just as you and yours have come back." Summer shook her coat to rid herself of the last drops of water. |

Kazuki smiled in an attempt to hide his continuing confusion. "Okay, well, I hope you have fun in the Valley."
"Perhaps we can help you to find either Jade's den or a den of your own. I think I've been to the main den once... though I may be mistaken." May laughed lightly to himself. "In any case, would you like to look around a bit? There's plenty of water-dens around, I'm sure."
Kawa walked over to May and sat down, wondering if they'd be leaving or staying to talk longer.

"That would be lovely," Summer replied to May. "But first, I believe your young one has some questions. We can either walk and talk, or just sit here and enjoy the day and talk. I'm in no hurry to find everyone, as I don't plan on leaving any time soon."

May snickered lightly, "Alright, Kazuki, go ahead." Blushing just a bit with embarrassment (although with how light it was, it was pretty hard to see past his red fur...), Kazuki looked at Summer and laughed at himself a bit, "I'm fine, really, but thanks. I haven't met many new people recently, and I've never met a Syren... It's great to meet you!" He grinned suddenly. "I hope we'll be good friends." Kawa rolled his eyes then closed then in somewhat pity. Kazuki... you're so clueless sometimes, he thought, sighing just slightly. Good thing we're such good friends. He smiled and looked up again. He tapped the ground with his paw, wondering if it was loud enough to be heard. He smiled when he had grabbed May's attention. He nodded toward the forest and mouthed, "Summer's den?" He tilted his head as if in a question. "In a moment. Goodness, you're impatient." May rolled his eyes back toward Kazuki and Summer. (Cammie-chan! You should join us sometime. I'll probably only get in one more good reply before I leave on Sunday, but when I get back I'll RP again... you guys can always RP while my pykiin and I are gone, so you should join! ) |

Summer chuckled at the family, and wondered if she would one day have a family like this.
"I hope we can become good friends as well," Summer replied. "I have a few questions for you, and maybe if you don't know we can find someone who does. I returned because I felt the pull of the Dryad, are there several others back as well? Not just syrens, but everyone else?"
