"Daaaaad! Dad? Dad? Dad dad dad dad dad!"
Shiranui groaned and rolled over, allowing one of his many tails to drape over his face in an attempt to block out the neverending sound. It didn't work.
"C'mon Dad c'mon! I wanna go out! Can I go out? Can I please? Dad? Daaaaad?"
Shiranui wished he had never heard of gemfruits or Dryads. "Go out," he mumbled into his tail.
"Whooo hoo!"
Suddenly there was blessed silence in the cave. Shiranui let his head fall to the side, pillowed on another tail, and drifted back to sleep.

The small form burst out of the cave, skidding to a halt and blinking his bright blue eyes in the early morning sunlight. He danced nimbly from paw to paw and swished his dark-tipped tails. It was morning! He was free!
As he was about to bolt into the grass, a shadow fell over him and he looked up to see his brother flit overhead, not looking at him.
He frowned. He wasn't sure why his brother had wings and he did not. Dad wouldn't explain it, either. They looked almost alike in all the other ways, but that seemed a pretty big difference to him!
Oh well. He wasn't going to let it bother him right now, when there was running to do! Turning away from his brother he shot forward, leaping and diving amongst the tall grasses.

Hercules strutted out of the narrow cave with his chest puffed out and his head held high. His delicate pace with a twinge of haughtiness was signature to him. He wasn’t sure why he was so much bigger than others, or even why he had three tails. The most he’d ever seen on a normal Pykiin was two. His parents never explained either. It was always, You’re special… Nothing more or less.
His tails wagged slightly as his hips rocked back and forth. His strut was one that was impressive for his age. Only slightly narrowing his enormous blue eyes when the morning sun slipped it’s way past the trees that surrounded him, causing a slight headache.
He didn’t know many other ‘Kiin his age. He’d been told there were others with his odd trait, but he’d never seen them before. It didn’t matter to him any how. It wasn’t like he needed friends.
A slight bounce erupted in his step as the youngin’ jolted to a quicker pace rushing through the brush to arrive at another smaller cave just short of the path that led to the Valley. “Psst…” He said listening for his echo. “Cass….” He stopped and ducked into a bush as a shady figure popped out of the entrance. He didn’t let a peep out as the large fishtailed male walked past the small bush with a mundane grin.
Shortly after, a small purple colored female tumbled her way out of the cave. Her pink tail swooped around her back feet as she snuck into a nearby bush and whispered something only Hercules could hear.
Herc nodded and looked around before nodding in the direction they were headed. “This way.” He stated nonchalantly as he burst out of the bush and ran straight for the pathway just diagonal from where they had been. The small female followed dipping under Herc’s large frame for cover.
The two padded along the pathway until they reached the Valley. “Phew!” Herc stated as he placed his small hinny on the soft grass that now surrounded the small path. “That was a close one.” He dipped his head down and gently rubbed the top of his mask.
The small girl nodded shyly and said nothing in response.
Herc grinned, “You know, Imma bwake you.” Mispronouncing his R’s as usual.
The female returned a blank stare, but soon saw something in the distance. She nodded gently in the direction.
Hercules smiled, “Aye I see them. What? You actually want to go meet them?” He nodded to himself knowing her answer and lifted his lazy bum off the ground and lead the way to the two barely noticeable ‘Kiin just a short jog from where they were.
((OMG Sorry it's an epic!))

(( It's epic and it has the word hinny in it. XD I<3u, camcam ))
The tall grass wasn't much fun, it was decided after a short amount of time (it was hard to see over!). So he abandoned his stalking of grasshoppers and instead hopped out into the path that wound down to the Valley. He felt a gleeful thrill as he started walking down the path.
A small fluttering and a shadow overhead signaled the return of his brother. "Where do you think you're going, Geki?" came the familiar soft voice. He never spoke very loudly, but his words could be sharp when he was in one of his moods.
Geki was easy going and forgave his brother's tone. "This way!" he said jovially, his nose pointed toward the Valley center. "It's gonna be fun!"
"We can't go to the Valley without dad, it's against the rules," came the pointed reply.
"He said to go out!"
"He was half asleep when he said it...."
"Well maybe he thinks we're old enough now!" He considered the conversation done with after that and started down the path. He kept his ears open and sure enough, he heard the little fluttering sound that meant his brother was following.
Geki grinned and broke into a run. See if he could keep up with the fleet-footed master! He ducked his head low and stretched his legs as far as they would go with each stride, eyes narrowed against the wind. He could feel the air passing through his fur and he loved it. There was nothing better than running!
Geki turned his head to look behind him, trying to see how far ahead he was. His brother was hovering just above the path, a quickly dwindling spec since he didn't seem to be chasing after Geki at all.
Grinning in triumph, he turned his head forward--and met with a pair of large blue eyes just as he crashed into them. Sprawling in the dirt with his ears ringing after the collision, Geki let out a groan. He didn't attempt to get up, just waited until the world stopped spinning.
After a short length of time he heard the flutter of wings above the ringing in his ears. "That was swift," was his brother's sarcastic opinion.
Geki looked up and blinked several times, looking at his brother who landed next to him. "What happened, Kaze?" he asked, shaking off his daze.
"You ran into--someone interesting." Kaze's sharp green eyes regarded the two strangers across the path.

Hercules quickly recomposed himself. That other ‘Kiin running into him wasn’t a terrible blow to his ego, but it did sting a bit physically. His eyes then widened, it hurt! No one had ever been big enough to hurt him before! He shot a quick look to Cassi, then to the two ‘Kiin that were across the path.
Sure enough his suspicion was right. He had run smack dab into another one of his ‘kind’, but not just one. Two! A smirk arose on his face as his eyes ran rampant over the two with three tails each.
He didn’t bother introducing himself, but instead walked straight up to the smaller one. The one with odd looking wings and tugged on one of the tails. Sure enough it wasn’t phony. Not that a Pykiin could possibly pull off a fake tail. His blue eyes dodged back to Cassi. She was sitting inspecting the two, a sort of blank expression sat upon her face, and all of her limbs were tucked in close to her frame.
He smiled sweetly, almost child like. Something Cassi had never seen from Herc. She nodded diligently without a word and poked out her chest mimicking the way he carried his self. She chuckled silently as Herc stared dumbfounded at her and attempted to scramble back to his ‘better than you’ attitude and outward look.
