Nursery

Faith laughed at the two, not shaken in the least by Sky's somewhat rude comment. "Hello Tapanga," she purred, crouching to look the little pink kiin in the eyes. "Do you like that cross? It's a very important symbol to me!" She wiggled her haunches slightly with a good-natured grin.

[Farnley Kombu]

Tapanga nodded continuously and smiled. "I like!" She exaclaimed. Sudden;y, a large gust of wind came, sweeping Tapanga of off her feet. "Nahhhh!" She cried and thrust her arms foward for help. The wind carried her from the nursery, and over to the Dryad, where she was thrown in. Muffled cries could be heard from the Dryad.

Faith seemed a bit frightened when the little kiin was blown off her feet, but relaxed when she realised where Tapanga was being taken. "Looks like your little pink friend is going to grow a bit," she murmured, turning back to the area between the two ash trees.

Bending over the ground gently, she whispered unheard words to the seeds. She laid down and placed her head on the soil, as a mother would protect and comfort her kiin, then stood again and swept her golden tuft of fur across the ground once before nodding to Tinaeus and walking away.

Tinaeus looked rather bewildered and took a step back, unsure of what to do. He looked to the receding form of Faith, who stopped and called back to him. "Well, go on! What are you waiting for? Grow them!'

Tinaeus looked to his paws, still unsure. Didn't Faith want to create a doorway of some sort?

Tapanga had stayed in the Dryad a while, and then it sudden;y spat her out. "Off," he squeaked as she landed on the ground She stood up, and shook rump free of any dirt. She then trotted back to the group and titled her head. "What happen me?" She asked them, looking down at herself, and back at her new, larger wings. She still waddled, only because she wasn't used to this new height.

Tinaeus grinned. "You grew up! Well... at least a little bit. You're a juvenile now, not a hatchling anymore. You'll get even bigger someday, too."

With a friendly flick of his tail, Tinaeus turned back to his task. "Well, now or never..." he muttered under his breath, focusing on the plants in front of him. One tendril poked out of the soil and slowly made it's way to the top, but it wasn't more than a few inches away from the ground when Tinaeus lost his hold on the plant. He blinked in surprise as the connection between him and the seedling snapped and the vine shot into the air of its own accord.

As soon as the vine touched the branches of the ash tree, all of the other seeds began to sprout and grow into each other, entwining in a magical sequence so complicated that Tinaeus felt his earth magic being put to shame. How had Faith managed such magic?!

His spinning mind was quieted in awe as he watched the plants move almost mechanically through their complex series of moves.

Sky watched as the mysterious Faith sauntered off. "Hmmmmm," he said out loud. "Hey Tinaeus, are you sweeeet...on....urf!" The blue dork lost his voice entirely as he watched the plants doing their complicated dance. "Uh...wow..that's...wow," he stuttered. His tail wrapped around Tapanga and moved her back a few steps so the vines had room to work.

Tinaeus shot a brief mingled look of anger, confusion and embarassment at Sky, then turned back to watch the plants grow again. They formed an elaborate, decorative achway for the entrance, finishing off the Nursery with a light touch of beauty. Small flowers - bluebells and some lily of the valley - sprouted from the vines and lined the soft green archway with little specks of color.

With a crackle of electricity, the magic shot around the nursery walls, coating it all in a spiderwebbing play of white light against the green, before fading away into a fine sparkling mist.

Tinaeus stood, flabbergasted, at the entrance and looked to Sky Bridge.

Sky cast his eyes sideways at Tinaeus, a little nervous. He wasn't that great at magic, and he wasn't entirely sure he trusted something he had no control over. "I, uh, guess you didn't do that?" he asked.

Seri stared at the complex weaving of plants around the doorway. Cauiously coming up to Tinaeus, she asked, "How did that happen?"

Celeste walked over to Tinaeus "You did a very nice job on the nursery all of the Earth Elements have done so."

Akemi walked over to Sky and smack him with her tail "Did you never learn manners you goof?"

Sky Bridge grinned. "Oh, is that what you were trying to teach me? Sorry, the etiquette book didn't work because it's hard for me to read..."

"You are such a goof, I swear it's a good thing I'm not a normal girl."

Sky leaned against her and nuzzled her ear tuft. "I tell myself that every day, mate." ^___^

Hope walked into the nursery," Hello everyone." She gazed around at the newly finished structure, amazed.

"Hey Hope! Wait what is that?" Angie said walking into the Nursery with Kielee trailing behind her.
