My friend (stalker, actually) just sent me an email, and I wished on it that my Oma would get better, then at the end it said that if I don't send it on my wish will be the exact opposite. I have a vow to myself and my friends that, unless there's no consequence for not sending it on, I'll never send a chain letter to my friends or anyone else. I'm really superstitious, so now I'm very paranoid and close to tears. D:> I hope my Oma's going to be okay.... I yelled at him (turned on the CAPS lock) not to send me chain letters, and he just replied back, "okay jeese". That was nice... Sorry I'm posting about this, but the Pykiin people always cheer me up. <

*squishes Pandie* Chain letters are dumb, and I constantly get them not only over e-mail, but in my texts too. >.< I'm not a really really superstitions person, but I can be it just depends.

*nods* Usually I read them, wish for something and shrug it off. But I've never gotten one that tabooed my wish. *stabs chain letter* I've gotten them over text, but that doesn't bug me because I can just press OK and they're gone (in my inbox, but I don't have to deal with them there). My favorite one over texts was something about how some over 90% of people marry their JH/HS sweethearts. xD It was just so pointless it made me laugh. And it came to me when Smitty (my ex) and I were at dinner with my brother, dad and mom. We were still going out at the time, and my overly-pushy friend sent it. *sigh* That wasn't harmful, though. Nor was it having anything to do with superstition.

My favorite chain letter is a bit well gross, but it's cute. xD
The one that I like that isn't so vile is " Best friends = you cry i cry, you smile i smile, you fight i fight, you jump off a bridge i get a paddle boat to save your retarded bum."

xD I love that! That's really cute. x3 Not nearly like the version going around my school.
Best friends: You cry, I cry. You smile, I smile. You jump off a bridge, I stand there in awe and laugh my *bum* off.
(Edited that, since I'm not sure how appropriate it is. It's a very touchy word sometimes. xD)

I had to edit mine too. xD The other one is a bit iffy, so I'll do my best to edit it. "Friends are like buttcheeks. Crud spreads them apart, but the always come back together." xD Funny no? But also really sick.

I don't do chain letters either. There's a few people that send them to me, but I usually just delete them without reading them. That was very mean of the person who sent it to you, and it's a particularly nasty one.

I have to agree with rae. I find chain letters are usually a form of emotional blackmail what with the 'do this or bad stuff will happen' rather than positive energy. Therefore I refuse to send them on. What is most important, even if you're superstitious, and maybe especially if you are, is what you put out with your heart and soul. if you put good love healing vibes out with your heart and soul then that is what will be emenating from you in all that you do; regardless of if you send on a digital collection of letters and numbers or not.

lol. Chain letters, how silly! I remember when I was in elementary school, before internet chain letters were around, I got a real chain letter in the mail. It said I had to photocopy the letter and give it to six people, and that this chain letter had been going since the 1970's and it was in the Guinness Book of World Records and if I broke it, I would ruin the whole thing. (That's a lot of pressure for a ten year old!) So anyway I photocopied it and gave it to six of my friends at school. A couple weeks later I asked one of them and she said she had just thrown it away. I was so upset! Of course, chain letters like that are all a lie, it wasn't in the Guinness book at all and I was a silly girl who was duped by a chain letter. Have you seen the ones on YouTube that are like "if you don't paste this into the comments on ten other videos a girl will come and kill you in your sleep"? Wow. That's all I can say.
