"Well, we won't know until we try, and we're both looking forward to parenthood," Heranai answered with a smile. "I know you've raised your pair quite well, and all by yourself too. You should be proud, of yourself as well as of them."
Sren nodded. "At least now they can't expect me to join their silly games." He quirked an unamused smile. "It was old the first time, it was far beyond old."
Dirsain slipped out from beside Rensai, running to the vacated hollow. Now that Sren was out, he knew it was his turn. Better now than later, when he'd had time to think about it!

Harmony laughed in agreement. "Yes, it was, wasn't it?" She noticed his longer mane and tufts. "So I see the Dryad also gave you extended fur? Nice.." She commented, admiring the tips.
Khairi nodded, then noticing another little one slipping into the Dryad. "Oh who might that be?" He asked Heranai.

Srenai looked down in surprise. "Hm, so she did," he answered, lifting a paw to comb out and look at a bit of his mane. "How nice of her. I see she gave you a lovely new marking as well," he gestured to her side, and the skull marking. "Quite suiting, and very pretty if I may say so."
Heranai turned to look just in time to see Dirsain's tail vanish. "Oh, that was Dirsain, Dashi's son. I see he's to grow too."
At that moment, Sorka and Sonea arrived at the Dryad. Sonea was nonplussed to find so many gathered. She hadn't expected an audience. She was even more perplexed not to see a way in to the Dryad's hollow. Sorka wasn't worried, she figured they were just a bit ahead of schedule, and settled down to wait. After a moment of figiting, Sonea joined her.

Harmony began to glow. "Yes, I do love my new marking. Just goes to show you she really does know all of us... Well, she did create us." She said, glancing at her marking. "So used to your legs yet?" She asked curiously. "There's something I found the other day by my new den."
"Dashain and Midori?" He asked. "I remember them when they were Kiin. It seems like everyone's growing up so fast." Khairi chuckled..

"That she does," Sren agreed, admiring the skull marking. "Now if only I could get rid of these spots..." He gave a little sardonic laugh. "I think I've recovered enough to see whatever you wish to show me." He smiled at his friend.
Heranai nodded sympathetically. "It seems like the whole Valley is growing up in preparation for breeding season."

"The valley's going to be flooded with Kiin," Khairi said, picturing the mass amounts of little kits tumbling and waddling around. "Seeing that now we many more adults then we did in the first season. Apparently my pounce is getting a few new arrivals, from different pounces. It will be interesting." He said. "Moose is going to raise them... Which should be even more interesting.."
"Very well then. Follow me." Harmony directed Srenai. She walked steadily through the woods, dodging any branches and stones. On her way, she stepped on a stone, cringed, and moved on without saying a word. She passed Khairi's den and moved on witha steady pace. Soon she reached a smaller den, with a little white figure snoozing inside of it.
The dark Pykiin turned around to "Shh" at Sren as they passed the sleeping Kiin just so he would be more cautious. After they were a yard away from the den, she picked up her normal pace until she reached an old, very large hallowed out oak tree.
"I'm debating whether or not to move Emery and I into this. I mean, of course I would build around it, but I just don't know.. Do you have an opinion?"

"Moose?" Heranai repeated. "Raising kiin? That won't be pretty." He cringed at the thought of all those kiin rampaging about, hoping that the cave he shared with Devra was secluded enough to avoid attention. "We'll be getting a fair number of kiin, but I think all of them have at least one parent in the pounce. Anyway, Seri always takes care of strays."
Sren followed Harmony as quickly and quietly as he could. He noticed the flashed expression or pain, but ignored it as she clearly wanted to. He slipped by the sleeping Emery like a gray and purple ghost. When they reached the tree, Sren studied it carefully before answering. "It is a very nice place, and it would make a good home,' he finally answered. It did look like a comfortable place to live. "I take it your current den is getting a bit small?"

"They may turn out alright, I mean, look at Kambo." Khairi said. "And he was the care taker at his old village. But still, it is hilarious to think of Moose playing house with a few Kiin.. and maybe even Amaranthine. She's all he talks about..." He chuckled. "Shomari's having four more Kiin, and is more happy about it since he gets to keep two, but I'm afraid of how Amelie will react.."
Harmony nodded firmly. "Yes, our current den is very small, and not suitable for the both of us." She told Sren. "It's not like Emery can move around too much, but I just want her to be happy in a nice den." The female said.

"Hm, perhaps so. I'd forgotten about that, if indeed I ever knew," Heranai answered. Most of what he knew about Moose was second- or third-hand. "So he and Amantharine are getting serious?" That was interesting news as well. "I knew Shomari was having kiin, since Eraina's just about bursting with happiness that she gets to breed with him." His mouth curled into an amused smirk. "It's good that Shomari is looking forward to kiin, even if he doesn't much care for the mothers. Or does he?"
Sren nodded, looking around again. "I'm sure she'll be very happy here." He realized he hadn't thought about his own situation now that he was an adult. "I suppose I'll be looking for a new place now, too. I can hardly keep living with my parents, even if I wanted to."
Dirsain slipped out of the Dryad, steadier on his feet that Sren had been, perhaps because he knew what to expect. There was no one waiting for him, so he hurried off to find his family and show them his new look.
Sorka gave Sonea a last nuzzle and a nudge toward the Dryad. Giggling nervously, she obeyed the inaudible call, vanishing into the hollow.

"I had forgotten for a while, too. Understanble, though. Moose is rather... well.. an animated elven, to put it delicatly." Khairi nodded. "I'm still not sure, I mean, it's obvious she's got a thing for him, as he does with her... So I guess they're just going to be playing games for a while, or at least until breeding season." He shrugged.
"Yes, Raina, that's who it is! I knew it was someone from your pounce, but couldn't quite put my claw on it.." Khairi said. "Hm? Well, it seems the mothers don't really care for him.. Amai already had a relationship and took care of the Kiin with Apollo. So he was a bit crushed. And the other Kiin is with Yulanna. That Kiin has no clue that Shomari's its father. So he's kind of crushed, not really looking foward to this breeding season. He just has... Big trust issues. Poor little guy," Khairi showed sympathy for his brother.
"Ah, yes, that may pose as a problem," Harmony laughed. "If you ever need any assistance on finiding a new home I have a knack for finding places. There's actually a nice cave a little bit outside of the beach. I'mm pretty sure it's not in use."

"I wouldn't know about playing games with mates," Heranai said with a smile. "Devra and I knew very quickly, and we did not bother to delay once we were both sure." He shrugged with an 'it takes all kinds' expression. 'But I suppose this way suits them better, and I wish them luck of it."
"Well, Eraina is quite infatuated, if the truth be known." He shrugged helplessly. "It must be hard to trust in the chance of love when things have gone badly in the past." He mused for a moment. "Well, Raina won't keep the kiin from him if he wishes to be part of their life, and I know she wants to get to know him better herself too. You might let him know that, if you get a chance." He winced at a thought. "Though don't let her know we told, she'd hate us forever." He too was sympathetic, and hoped to improve both their lives.
"That's a kind thought, and I'll remember. I don't think I want to start searching just yet, all things considered. There's no rush, after all." Sren smiled at Harmony, enjoying the fine day and relaxing.
