Spice and Parade who had been playing their favorite game of all time Hide and Seek all though it wasn't much fun with only the two of them.
Parade ran and hid in a nearby bush as Spice counted.
"1...2...3...4...10! Ready or not here I come!" She screamed.
Parade then walked out of the bush.
"I'm bored and I think we need to head to the Dryad." Parade said she felt they needed to go.
As they started to walk towards the Dryad, Spice out of the corner of her eye seen two rodeli pass by them and she instantly knew why they were headed to the Dryad.

Tamarai was bouncing happily along when she spotted her aunt Parade. "Auntie P'rade," she called, using the name she'd called her aunt as a kit, "Where are you going?" She ran up and walked alongside the pair. "Do you want to play?"

"Tamarai!" Parade exclaimed as she seen the 'Kiin. "I haven't seen you in forevver!"
Spice then said with a smile "We are or were heading to the Dryad!"
Parade then thought about whether or not she should play with her neice. But then it was an obvious choice.
"Of course we'll play!" She smiled. Tamarai is first and foremost her neice and she knew the Dryad would hate to see her leave her neice to go do what they had to do.

"Oh, well if you're going to the Dryad, it might be important," Marai said worriedly. She wanted to play, but she didn't want to stop Parade and Spice from business with the Dryad. "I know! Race you there!" The green kiin took off running toward the Dryad, glancing back to make sure they were following.

"That works for me." Parade said as Spice and Parade both glanced at each other and then started running.

Being younger than the others, Marai's legs weren't quite as long, so she slowly fell back to where they ran together. She stretched just a little more to keep up. "So," she panted happily, enjoying the race to the hilt, "Any idea why you need to be at the Dryad?"

"I'm not sure!" Spice said. "I just know we need to be there!"
Parade giggled and said "I think it's time!"

Marai skidded to a halt in the Dryad's clearing. "And here we are," she said in a drawn out announcer voice. She giggled and asked Parade, "Time for what?"

As they reahed the Dryad so did the little Rodeli. One rodeli went in as did Spice.
"It sure is time." Spice said walking in.
As Spice walked in Parade looked at Marai. "It's time to grow" She said lightly.

Marai looked up at her aunt. "I'll miss you being my size," she said simply. "We'll still play, won't we?" It was important to her not to lose the carefree relationship she shared with her father's sister.

Parade frowned as she looked at her niece. She didn't want Marai to feel left out of anything.
"Maybe you will grow soon too." She said looking at Marai. "And we will absolutely still play!"
"When I come out after I get used to being bigger for a minute we can play any game you choose!" She said trying to make light out of the ituation.

"I don't wanna grow up!" Marai said emphatically. "It's not near as much fun. I wanna stay a kiin forever." She looked up at the adults rebelliously. "As long as you'll still play with me, it's alright."

"I'm sure you can have just as much fun grown up as you can as a 'Kiin." Parade said. She hoped with everything that she had that she wouldn't have to grow up too fast. She liked games far too much to leave them behind.
"I will always play with you!" Parade said as she gave her neice a noogie.
