Knacker let out a little squeak of happiness, looking carefully at the dirt. Karimah! Karimah and Miri! It was so exciting learning new things, he couldn't wait to spell more words in the dirt and share more of his inner thoughts with his friends.
A very faint vibration in the air caused Knacker to pause before his paw could hit the dirt. It was a very soft vibration, one he hadn't felt before. But it intrigued him. He immediately looked upward into the Dryad, where the feeling was coming from.
His sharp eyes picked out the shape of a milky white and red creature coiled among the branches, making its way down the Dryad's gnarled trunk. Its stunning markings made it stand out against the deep brown trunk as it made its way down toward the ground. Knacker raised up on his hind legs to get a better look. He knew what it was, it was a Vhimir! Very interesting! He'd never seen one up close before.
With a deep rumbling that Knacker could feel in his bones, the trunk parted and revealed a little hollow inside, just about big enough for a little Pykiin. Knackers eyes were wide with shock, watching as the Vhimir slithered into the hole. He felt the strangest urge to follow it, and the little adventurous Pykiin spread his fairy wings and flew up, disappearing into the darkness.

"Nice to meet you Karimah," Miri said happily. "I'm Camiri, or Miri." She gestured at the letters scratched in the dirt. When Karimah complimented her, she blushed. "Thanks, I love your bright colors too."
When Knacker suddenly ran after a strange little creature, Miri blinked after the pair in confusion. "What was that, and where did they go?" she asked.

"Nice to meet you two," Karimah said softly, looking at Miri's toes in obvious attempt to avoid eye contact. When the compliment was returned, Karimah looked up, her cheeks turning a light cherry red. She quickly batted them away and thanked Camiri.
Karimah watched as Knacker followed the Vhimir into the Dryad. "No!" She said, not knowning what was going to happen (she didn't know much about the Dryad, only that she had come from it.) "Knacker!" She flailed her tails in the air. But it was too late, he had already gone into the Dryad. "I don't know where they went, but.. but I hope he comes back." She said, her voice a bit shakey.

Karimah's obvious worry transfered to Miri. She looked up at the big tree again, the awe tinged with fear. "What was that thing?" she asked the yellow girl in a small, fearful voice. Miri stared at the place where Knacker had vanished, hoping that he would come out again.

"This?" Karimah said, poking the large tree. "This is the Dryad." She told Miri. "I.. I don't know much about it, but it's where Pykiin come from." Karimah sighed at her own lack of knowledge about the Dryad. "But Knacker is already alive.. so why would he be going in there?"

"The Dryad," Miri repeated, staring up at the tree again. "I wonder if I came from there too?" Not waiting for an answer, she asked, "But what was the little creature that went in with him?"

"Oh that?" Karimah asked. "I haven't a clue... But I know my uncle has one!" She said, getting slightly distracted from the dissapearence of her friend. "Oh dear, I do hope he comes back." She said, and began to pace back and forth.

Camiri looked up at the big tree. The Dryad, she reminded herself. Just looking up into her branches made Miri feel ok again. "He'll come back," she said with conviction, though she didnt know why. "The Dryad wouldn't do anything bad."

"Yeah. The Dryad is only here for good." Karimah said confidently. She knew that nothing bad would happen to Knacker. Or so she hoped.. "I just wonder what's happening to him.. and when he'll come back." She said anxiously.

((OOC: Oops, sorry for the delay! lol he just got his Bonded, Chelle, nothing for worrisome parents to worry about. Except Sky, he worries about everything that has to do with his boy. XD )) Knacker was feeling very comfortable and sleepy, which he thought was strange since it was the middle of the day. But the Dryad was warm and cozy inside, and he felt like he could stay here forever and it wouldn't be a bad thing. He sniffed his nose, inhaling the deep earth smell of the tree and the spicy, crisp scent of the winged reptile that was curled up close to him. He wanted to know more about the Vhimir, but was so content at the moment that he wasn't going to bother trying to communicate. He closed his eyes and drifted off. A crack of light hit the little kiin square between the eyes; he crinkled his mask and squinted. Why was there light? It was bothering him! He wanted to sleep some more! Just a little while more... Time to get up, hissed a soft voice in his ear. We've been long enough. Let'sss not keep everyone waiting...Knacker was confused. He wanted to sleep, but he also wanted to get up? There was two different kinds of thoughts in his head at the same time. He slowly focused his eyes on the crack of light and finally could see his surroundings. The inside of the wooden hollow where he was curled up, and the small round eyes of the Vhimir looking straight at him. Oh! The Vhimir! It had put its thoughts into his head! That was very, very interesting! He could feel the pale and red creature's amusement. Yesss it'sss a handy trick, he said. My name isss Butterrum, and I think we ssshould go out before your friendsss worry more.Knacker was feeling more awake now, and he agreed. He wasn't sure why he had wanted to stay in the dark anyway, now. He wanted to go back outside and play! As the crack in the Dryad's trunk widened, Knacker and Butterrum emerged from the hollow and stepped back out into the Valley.

Miri was staring at the place where Knacker had disappeared, as though her gaze would bring him back. She was considerably startled when it worked (or so she thought.) "You're back!" She yelled, running up and hugging him happily. "What's this," she asked, poking the things on his head with a curious paw.

Knacker grinned and hugged Cloud Girl--Miri, he reminded himself--back. He could tell by her worrisome face that she had been upset by his sudden disappearance, and he hoped his grin would reassure her. She seemed much happier now that he was back, anyway.
Miri reached up and touched something on top of his head, causing his ears to wiggle. He tried to look up to see what it was, but realized he couldn't see anything on the top of his head, even when he tipped his head back to see... He could feel Butterrum's amusement again.
Knacker wanted to see what was going on with his head! He beckoned for Miri and Karimah to follow him as he ran from the Dryad to the nearby pool. Eagerly he looked down at himself and saw his own expression turned into shock. He had changed!
His once plain green and white fur now had colors of lavender and sky blue, with dark green stripes and a curious symbol of a bridge between two clouds. And the most interesting thing was a pair of cuffs on his ears, from which sprouted a pair of big white feathery wings. Knacker flopped his head from side to side, watching the wings flap in the breeze. Wow!
Knacker turned to his friends to see if they liked how he looked now. Apparently the Dryad could do very amazing things indeed!

Miri grinned easily in response to Knacker's smile. Obviously he was ok and perfectly happy, which made all of Miri's previous unease vanish in an instant. She followed him to the pool, delighting in his reaction to the things on his head. Her high giggle accompanied the flapping wings. Her bright smile and nodding head make her approval clear. "You look very handsome," she said.

Karimah stood in awe as she watched Knacker emerge from the Dryad. She quickly opened her mouth into an ear-to-ear smile. Knacker was back! But boy had his appearance changed. "You look so nice!" She squealed as she followed him to the "pool." She quickened her pace to keep up with Knacker and Miri.
As the reached the pool Karimah lowered her head to sip the clear water. She grinned at Knacker's excitement of his new outlook. She was relieved that he hadn't come out as an adult, as she had heard that is what will happen when you enter the Dryad.
She looked on top of his head to find a pair of wings. "Wow! Those are really pretty, Knacker." She gushed. "They look so fluffy.." The yellow kiin said as she reached up a tail to pat them. "They're soft, too.." She said, lowering her tail. "Do they help you fly?" She asked, still admiring his new "look."
