Calesa laughed."Well they seem to want to go swimming so we can plan something for that. Didn't that green one up there say he had a bonded? I wonder waht it is. May be it can help us.."she said.

"Hm, yes. Actually, I wasn't here yet when he said that, but I'll take your word for it." Sandi grinned at her friend. "Water tricks are always more fun."

C'teresi's jaw fell open a little. "He has a Bonded AND got his element?" he repeated. "That's . . . wow. The last time I saw him, we were both little kiins! Times sure do change. . . ." He trailed off a minute, thinking of change. Then he happened to glance down at himself and realized that Dashi wasn't the only one to change. He had grown as well, and his Bonded. . . . Where was she? Who knew with that one.
"Sure, let's go," C'teresi said with a grin. "I think Shelby was right, it might be safer to try a lake first than the ocean." He suddenly had the image of himself getting swept out to sea and felt a little worried. Water was a strange thing to him. "Do you think my wings will work when they're wet?" he muttered, mostly to himself.

"Yes, kiin do grow up, some more quickly than others." Though the comment applied to Dashi, she seemed to be refering more to herself. When C'teresi asked about his wings, Raina could only shrug. "I'm not sure. Mine do, but my wings are different than yours."

"I don't think they will work if there under water,but don't worry it's pretty hard to drown in a lake."she said smiling."Well if everyone is ready then I suppose we should be off."
"I don't think his bonded is anywhere around here though."said Calesa.

"Lead the way!" C'teresi told Shelby, grinning.
A quiet flutter of wings overhead was the only alert to Moorn's presence. She settled down on the grass between the two Remiel. "Were you speaking of me?" she said in her quiet voice.

Calesa looked over at the Syora."Yes we were! Great timing!"
Shelby led the way into the forest.Only rays of sunlight was able to get through the huge canopy of leaves. In a few minutes they arrived at the lake. She waited for everyone to catch up.

Moorn cocked her head to the side. "Jokes? Mmm . . . I'm not very familiar. Do you mean to turn a phrase in such a way that the ending has a double meaning and may be humourous if delivered with correct timing and inflection?" She preened a wing and wondered.
C'teresi didn't know his Bonded was around, but that was nothing new. They hung out sometimes, but not all the time. They were both comfortable with that, though he did wonder where she went all the time...
Quickly he padded through the forest, following Shelby and Raina. So lucky to be in the presence of two gorgeous girls! His heart was beating as fast as if he was flying in the thin layers of the atmosphere. What could he do? What should he say?
He felt the urge to show them both what amazing things he could do. When the lake came into view he let out a whoop and broke into a run, leaping right in!
A second later he jumped up, spraying water everywhere. "AH! Cold!" he cried out.

Raina giggled and followed him more sedately into the water with barely a ripple. She immediately dove, coming up in a shower of droplets. "Ah, how I love the water," she exclaimed. Turning to C'teresi, she demonstrated treading water. "Let your paws come off the bottom, and move them like this to stay above the surface."

Shelby laughed."Well atleast we don't have to worry about you being afraid of the water here."she said wading into the lake.
Calesa looked up at Moorn. She had never seen a syora up close before.

C'teresi stayed near the shore, where he paws could easily touch the bottom. "Um... he watched two females carefully. Thankfully the lake was clear and he could see into the water pretty easily, so it wasn't hard to watch their feet. Still, he wasn't sure if he wanted to try to keep himself up from sinking juuust yet. "Maybe I'll stay over here for a little bit first," he said, starting to walk in the shallows. He quickly found it wasn't really hard to walk in water, but you moved very slowly.
Oh yeah, I'm really looking manly now, C'teresi thought sourly to himself as he slowly pushed himself through the water.
Moorn folded her wings and looked around. "I believe our partners have left us behind," she said simply.

"That's fine, just wait until you're comfortable." Raina swam smoothly nearer so he wouldn't feel bad. "Not everyone takes to water like a fish," she added, just to keep the conversation going. "Look at Dashi! Nothing will get him into the pond."
"So they have," Sandi agreed. "We were thinking of playing a trick on them, and thought you might like to help," she offered.
