K13 has given me the go ahead, so this train is ready to leave the station! XD This is just a mini-rp, though of course everyone is welcome to join. I'll be guiding the plot but people are free to rp with each other while they wait for me to post the next bit of the plot. There's no "only one post between my posts" rule or anything like that. Go easy on me, this is the first rp I've directed myself. Plot: Radiant, Midnight's Flight, and Tanaka (Ryuu's Okibis) are setting out to round up a small group of Okibi to help them explore a strange cave they've found. Who knows where it might lead... ((OOC: Okay, time to start! People are still more than welcome to post a description and join in whenever they want.))
The Okibi Caballi had no land of their own; long, long ago they might have, but the tales of it had been lost and no one recalled why they left. Perhaps they were driven out by another species, perhaps the land changed and food was no longer available. Whatever the reason, the Okibi became a species far spread out, finding homes whenever they could. Many Okibi came to Pony Island, as the land was plentiful and peaceful. They got along well with the other Pony species as well.
This particular day, however, was overcast and dreary. The clouds hung low in the sky, threatening rain soon. The air still held the warmth of spring, but could turn cold quickly when the precipitation started. Across the damp field trotted a small herd of the pony-like Okibi, their multiple tails waving in the air behind them. In the lead was a deep indigo blue female, followed closely by a black female with bright rainbow stripes. Behind them both trailed a yellow and black male with his eyes cast down on the ground.
The leader stopped in the middle of the field and looked around. "It shouldn't be hard to find others to accompany us," she told the other two. "Let's look around."

Kierai stood under the shadow of the tree line at the edge of the field. She watched the trio of Okibi in the field, wondering why they were here. Only one way to tell. With a glance at the sky to gauge the chance of rain, she trotted out into the field. "I bid you good day." She bowed over an extended leg. "May I ask what you do here?"

Midnight's Flight observed the filly approaching. She looked like she had a good head on her shoulders. A little formal, but there was worse. "Good day," Midnight returned, tossing her head in a semblence of a greeting. "We're looking for ones to come with us and explore something interesting we found."
"Anyone's welcome to join!" Radiant added with a giggle. "We're hoping to get a good adventuring party before we go in!"

Kierai nodded, interested. "What know you of that which you seek? Know you what you have found?" She was never one to rush headlong into things. She turned her gaze from one to the other, wondering who was in charge of this expedition.

Irritated, a pretty white and cyan Okibi was woken from her sleep when she heard the nearby chatter of other Okibi. Sara stood up, and walked boldly over to where the voices were coming from. Exiting the small group of trees that she had been sleeping in, her stride faltered. Seeing another Okibi was rare, and here where a group of four Okibis! Sucking in a small breath, she cautiously made her way over to the group.

Midnight's Flight decided introductions were in order, especially since they seemed to be drawing a crowd. Well that is what we wanted... she told herself, snorting a bit inwardly.
"I am Midnight," she announced, lifting her head and eyeing the others. "I'm in charge of this expedition."
"She thinks she's in charge of everything," Radiant whispered to the white and cyan girl who had just approached. She giggled as Midnight's Flight swattered her with one of her tails.
"I am in charge because I was the one who discovered the cave," the fanged Okibi said shortly. She gave the black Okibi a look. "This one with the rainbow zz beside me is called Radiant. Don't compliment her too often, it goes right to her head."
Radiant stuck out her tongue at Midnight.
"Lastly, we have back there Tanaka. He is not very talkative."
The yellow and black male gave Midnight an annoyed look but didn't reply.
"Right, so then, we were about to investigate an odd cave we found nearby. It's not far. The cave itself seems quite out of the ordinary. There's a strange warm breeze flowing from the mouth, and there seems to be light at the far end of the cave tunnel. We plan to explore it after gathering a large enough party." Midnight looked at each of the three new Okibi in turn. "If you'd like to accompany us, you may be the first ones to see something amazing. But it might also be a journey full of danger. Know that before you make a decision."

Kierai nodded deeply to each in turn as they were introduced. "Safety can oft be found in great numbers," she noted when Midnight's speech was concluded. "I shall accompany thee to this cave thou hast found, if thou wilt have me." Kierai dropped her guard slightly, and her tongue automatically spoke in a more antiquated style. When she realized, she blushed under her dark fur, ducking her head, but she didn't speak again, fearing to draw attention to her words.
