Isa kept up her pace up to her sister, who grabbed the stick and bounded off after Saturn. Isa skidded to a stop and settled in to watch the rest of the race, breathing hard and laughing silently.
Rala was all over the 'racetrack.' She was having far too much fun to run in a straight line. She bounced and ran and leaped around, but somehow kept going forward fairly close to Saturn.

Aiedial skidded to a halt as soon as Saturn took the stick from her and shouted "Go Saturn!" Then she flopped down onto her back and rolled onto her side, panting and grinning.
"Whoo... that was close! I thought I wasn't going to stop! And you were right behind me!" she giggled, closing her eyes.
Saturn could hear Rala's paws thudding on the ground as she skidded around the curve, forgetting to slow around a turn.
With finish line almost in sight, and she felt more like she was hopping then running, but she had to save a last burst of energy for the end.

"It was certaintly exciting," Isa agreed with a laugh. "I've never done anything like that before."
Rala realized that they were nearing the finish line. "Whoohoo!" she yelled excitedly. Of course, this caused her to drop the stick. She promptly tripped over it and landed on her butt. Giggling, she picked it up again and kept running.

Saturn looked to her side at Rala for a moment and gave a muffled giggle, almost losing her stick too. She sped up again as Rala did, causing them to even out, racing side-by-side.
Finish line! shouted Saturn in her mind. She kept her pace though, to excited to remember about her plan to exelerate furthur at the end.
Aiedial gave a nod and a laugh, then looked over at where Rala and Saturn were racing.
"... It looks close." she murmured thoughtfully.

Rala was still a little behind, but she didn't care. She was giggling uncotrollably through the stick as the she galloped toward the finish line. She didn't care about winning, just running and enjoying herself.
"Yes, it does. I must admit, I'm amazed we did so well." She smiled at her friend. "This is so much fun."

As Saturn crossed the finish line, she skidded to a halt, spun around and jumped circles, giggling and shouting.
Aiedial smiled back at Isa.
"C'mon," she said, gesturing to the finish line. "Even though it doesn't matter that much, now that we're friends, lets go see who won." she suggested.

Rala leaped over the finish line with a flourish, giggling. She droped her stick so she could talk. "Great race! That was a lot of fun." Not waiting for Endy's ruling, she conceded defeat. "Congratulations, you run really fast!"
Isa walked with Aiedial back to the others. "A very close race, everyone was very fast."

Saturn dropped her own stick to reply. "Thanks! But we don't know for sure yet, and anyways, it doesn't really matter who won or lost. As long as we had fun and tryed our best!" She smiled gratefully. "Besides, you were either right by me or right behind me the whole time! You did great!" she added.
"Yeah," giggled Aiedial. "But we all had fun, and we're all friends, and thats what matters." she pointed out.
She looked at Rala and Saturn and grinned. "Great job you two! That was a really good race."

Endy confirmed the win. "I think Saturn crossed first, but it was close. Nice job everyone."
"Thanks! I hd lots of fun, did you?" Rala was bright and bubbly, intoxicated with excitement and friendship.
Isa raised her mask at her sister, but didn't comment. "Indeed it is, and it's great having friends to play and have fun with."

"I had a lot of fun too!" replied Saturn. She suddenly had an idea.
"We should do it again, real soon!" she said. "Me and Saturn race alot, maybe we could pick a day where we could have a race every week or month or something..." Saturn grinned. This would be perfect! They could meet all the time and race and play games.
Aiedial glanced at Endy. "Thanks!" She then looked at Saturn, then at Ira.
"Good thinking, Saturn! That might just work... as long as its alright with you guys. What do you say? Want to try it?" she asked, a little excited.

"That sounds great!" Rala enthused. "We should do it. And we can train and practice and get faster and faster!"
Isa grinned. "With such overwhelming support, who could say no? Let's do it!"

"Yeah!" exclaimed Saturn with a bounce. "There's always room for improvement." she added with a nod.
Aiedial grinned. "Great! But when we will have these races, and how often?"

"Let's see, today is Saturday, right? So shall we meet again next Saturday? We could do either every or every other, what do you think?" Isa pondered the proposed schedule, not really sure.
Rala had her own ideas to add. "We should get other kiin to race too! That'll be more fun, right?"

Aiedial thought hard for a moment, while Saturn bounced off of Rala's idea. "Oh! That'd be nice! Then we could have relay races and one-on-one races!" she suggested.
"Maybe we should do it everyother, so there would be more time to prepare, maybe more time for others to join like Rala suggested, and that way we would still have a free Saturday." Aiedial finally said.

"It's a date," Isa said instantly. "We'll look forward to it."
"Yeah! I'll see if some of our new pounce-mates want to join!" Rala continued, enthusiasm undiminished.
"Rala! We haven't even met them yet," Isa admonished gently.
