Aralair is named for the sunrise. She is happy and smiling, and makes friends easily. Rala loves the daytime and is always up with the sun. Her twin sister is Isalair. Rala knows what she wants, and most of the time, she knows how to get it. She doesn't understand her twin's insistance of inward knowledge - knowing where you are and what you're doing is enough for her.
Rala and Isa grew together, as they have done most things. Rala envies Isa her smooth transition into adult life. She doesn't want to lose the things she was as a child. She misses the play that seems now to be frowned upon. She doesn't feel comfortable in her body, now so large and ungainly, unlike Isa's unconsious grace. Rala clings to the only thing she believes to be stable now - the twin bond. But even this seems to be faltering. Rala doesn't want her life to change, but she can't seem to stop it.
