Just follow the basic Journey in the Valley rules, please. This is mainly to find a mate for Khairi, but it may turn into something else.
Khairi sat under his regular resting tree with heavy sighs. It seemed as though everyone in the Valley was mated. His sister, Yue and Solar, and now his best friend. He never realized before how empty he felt. Sure he wasn't a People Person but it's not like he was anti-society. He'd met many females but no one really seemed to be interested. For once, Khairi didn't like being alone. He wanted to wake up with someone near him, he wanted someone to pet his cheek in the morning and admire the pink around his mask. He wanted love. He just. . couldn't understand how to get it.
The dark colored Pykiin trudged over to the pond nearby and looked at his reflection. Was he ugly? Was that the problem? Surely a female would want a decent looking mate. Or maybe he wasn't nice enough. Maybe he just wasn't a likable Pykiin. Khairi had always had problems with no having friends, but never did he think it would interfere with his chances of being loved.
Khairi knew what he want, and wasn't about to give up. He wasn't a quitter, and nor did he plan to be. The male held his head high in the air and strode over to the Dryad. "I'm not going to give up," he whispered. "I have as good a chance as anyone else." He told himself. But. . he didn't believe it. Khairi had always been told that if you say something, you can believe it. That didn't happen in this case.
He plopped himself in front of the Dryad and looked at the immense tree with big eyes. The dryad had answers to everything. Maybe she could tell him if he could be loved. Maybe she knew if he could love someone. "Dryad, tell me. . Can I be loved?" He asked her. His tone hard and his eyes as cold as stone.

Sorkalai was walking quietly toward the Dryad, on her way back to Seri's home. She had just dropped off her daughter Sonea at the Nursery to make some friends, and she was relishing the quiet. She hadn't realized how noisy kiin were before one of them was hers.
Sorka had a sudden urge to stop at the Dryad. Without really thinking about it, she turned her steps toward the center of the Valley. She was lost in her internal contemplation when she reached the Dryad and realized she was not alone.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you," she stammered out. "Would you like me to leave?" She pulled back shyly, but Kalea's influence kept her from fleeing.

From a nearby bush, there was a slight giggle. The voice was high, obviously feminine. Once that small sound gave away her presense, the leaves rustled softly, evidence of a pykiin shaped body trying to squirm her way out. It wasnt easy fitting through a bush. Of course it never occurred to her to go around...
Cyan body was presented tail first as she finally escaped the clutches of the bush. Somehow her fur had gotten caught, and the bush was being evil about it. Her hind paws finally lifted and shoved. It freed her, but it also sent her tumbling a short distance.
In the end she came to a stop lying on her back with her tail and hindquarters lifted over her head. The tip of her tail twitched up, letting her look awkwardly up at the pair before her. She promptly let it drop again to hide a blush. This was not the sort of introduction she'd had in mind.

The elaborate marking-ed Pykiin was opened his mouth, ready to hit the Dryad with more questions when a stranger appeared. His black eyes scanned the precious baby blue fur with yellow and white to it every now and then. A small white and pink Syora by her side. After he finished gazing at her, he remembered to speak. "Hello," his lips curving into a smile, "Oh, no, you're not disturbing me at all. Just looking for some answers from the Dryad." He told her, leaning against the tree. "She won't tell me anything today." He chuckled in a hardy voice, giving the large tree a firm pat. "I'm Khairi." He introduced himself, lowering to a bow. "And you are?" Khairi's pink and brown face turned to find a small cyan kit sitting on her head. "Oh my. . I see someone's not very coordinated. . ." He whispered to himself. A brown paw took a long step forward to approach the fragile infant. "Are you alright?" He asked when he got close enough. A larger paw reached out to de-tangle the smaller Pykiin from the mess she had gotten herself into. "There, that should be better." He chuckled. ((I'll be right back, I'm going to go lay down for a bit ))

"I'm ok. Just a little tangled..."
She was however much better once he got done untangling her. Though her paws were a bit unsteady she turned herself over and stood up. Her tail twitched as she thought it over.
"Yep, that's better." Skye finally announced.
Now that she was right side up, she remembered what it was she'd been wanting to ask. These two were acting sort of funny, talking to trees and all.
"How come you were talking to the tree? Does it talk back?"
Leaning a bit, she peeked around behind him. The tree didnt seem to have a mouth, but maybe it talked some other way. How exactly she didnt know, but then there was a lot she didnt yet know about the world so why not?

"Hmm?" muttered Aluna, blearily opening one eye. Someone, or someones, had spoken and woken her up. Lifting her head, the pale yellow Pykiin glanced around, her gaze finally settling on Khairi, Sorkalai, and Skye.
She'd never met the light blue adult or the cyan 'Kiin, but she had met Khairi, a long time ago when they were both still 'Kiin. Though he looked very different now, and not just because he was an adult. From her hazy recollections, she realized that a few of his markings had been removed.
Curiosity getting the better of her and her shyness, Aluna rose to her feet and padded towards the Dryad. She glanced at the 'Kiin, a rare smile appearing on her face when the 'Kiin spoke.

Kalea, hidden in the branches above the trio, had not missed the way Khairi's eyes had rested on her bonded. She kept her hiding place, but couldn't resist commenting. See something you like?
"Greetings, Khairi. I am Sorkalai." She smiled at him, returning the bow. After a moment of thought, she added, "Are you sure the Dryad didn't answer? Perhaps the answer is just in a different form than you expected."
Sorka supressed a gasp when a bright ball of fur tumbled out of the bushes. When she recognized it as a kit, she stepped forward lightly, fear forgotten. "There you go, little one. Are you hurt?" She thought about the rest of the kit's questions, but shook her head, just as confused as the kit seemed.

Uzuri bounding through the Valley, her daughters safely tucked in her wings laughing up a storm, stumbled upon the small gathering of pykiin that was at the base of the Dryad. Audra and Fuyumi pouted at the sudden stop of their home made theme park ride that they called mother. Sliding down her back one after the other they hit the ground with a small thud and a small updraft of dust, making each of them cough slightly as they wandered to investigate the kiin on the ground and the pykiin adults surrounding her.
Uzuri was the first to speak, as she usually was. Uzuri never seemed to have any problem talking to newcomers in the Valley, and always enjoyed it, as they seemed to understand who she was right away. She may be the child who grew up, but she tried never to hide her true self. What was the point she always told herself.
"A gorgeous day to be about." she smiled as she spoke and then hunched right down, making herself look a lot smaller than she actually was, as not to frighten the small kiin. "And who might you be? Missy full of bush branches" She laughed, as she slightly stuck out her tongue in a playful friendly gesture of friendship and fun.
Audra on the other hand without her mother's grace, wandered right up to the large male's backside, watching his tail closely. She could been seen almost swaying from side to side watching and preparing herself mentally for a pounce, unknowing what the male might do if she followed through with her action.
Fuyumi sat next to her mother, trying her hardest to imitate as best she could the nonthreatening behavior her mother was so wonderful at. Feeling the dirt and grass on her little belly though was making her poor little tummy itch and she was a tad more squirmy than her mother.

((@pm: Ha. And you say you can't paragraph RP. Psh.))
Khairi nodded, his expression hardening now that the kiin was in a normal position. "Good." He replied. His tone was stern, but at the same time it had a light, warm tint to it. His dark brown lips formed a half smile as he ruffled the little kiin's fur. "That was quite the entrance you made. Where you there the whole time?" He asked, the half-grin still there. He wondered if she had heard him speaking to the Dryad. . That would be embarrassing, and it would also ruin his reputation of being the hard, cold Pykiin.
"That's no tree, that's the Dryad." Khairi explained to the aqua colored kit. "The Dryad is the heart of the Valley. Without her, you, I, and everyone else here wouldn't exist. I just needed to know a little something. A personal something." Her other question made him think a little. Of course the Dryad answered. . . but he never thought of how she answered. "Well. . Technically no, but in a way she does always answer."
His black eyes focused away from the kiin, and onto the angelic yellow and silver female that had arrived. She looked so. . familiar. He had definitely seen her somewhere, he just couldn't pin-point it. When she strode closer, he then recognized her.
"Aluna?" He asked curiously in remembrance. "I know you probably don't remember me, but it's Khairi." He told her. Now it was all coming back to him . . Derva and her were playing in the mud, their faces obviously showing. Odd. Derva was Aluna's best friends, Heranai Khairi's, and now their best friends were soulmated together. Funny how things work out.
"What a pretty name. Solakrai." He repeated. "Does it have any meaning?" Khairi wondered what it would mean, if it did indeed have meaning. He knew his was in another language and meant something, but he never got around to finding out what it was.
"Hello, Uzuri," He said, his tails flickering at all of the females around him. Even though Uzuri was soumated. . And Raiden could beat him to the ground. . she was fun to look at. "Lovely day we're having indeed."
Whilst his tails where flickering, they hit something. Something soft, and little. "Oops." He bit his lip. The large Pykiin turned around to fin a small kiin with lightening markings on it. "Sorry."

Sorkalai blushed a little, unaccustomed to compliments. "Thank you, it means breeze. And I'm sure you'll find your answer soon. The Dryad knows what she's doing."
She looked at the other two pykiin that had joined them. Aluna and Uzuri, Khairi had called them. "Hello Aluna, Uzuri." She bowed her head to each of them in turn. She was quite taken with the creamy yellow female, Aluna. "Oh, Aluna, you are so pretty," she blurt out, unable to stop herself.
Her blush deepened as, embarrassed, she looked around frantically for a distraction, and her eyes landed on Uzuri's children. "Oh, are these lovely little ones your children? You must be so proud." She smiled at Uzuri, one mother to another.

((Shh Farnley I can't I am faking it )) At the sound and sudden movement of the large male Audra went stiff and froze as though trying to hide herself with the earth. She did not wish to be caught trying to tackle the tail that inched so closely to her as she watched. She did not dare move and barely even blinked, a fear of being found overtook her whole body. Fuyumi who had been tickled so much she could no longer sit still at all, as her skin crawled as though her fur was full of ants, started rolling around squirming around and making quite the spectacle of herself, small grunts of frustration fleeing her lips every so often. Her brain no longer able to take the sigh of not one, both both of her daughter's and their interesting way of dealing with life and the obstacles that they were presented, she broke down, fits of laughter she was sure could be heard around the valley, as she watched them sit perfectly still as though she was a statue and squirm about as though trying to leave her own skin. She just barely got the words out as she spoke to the group, "Proud? Proud indeed. Even when they act like fools." She was laughing so hard that her eyes filled slowly with tears.

Aluna nodded. "I do remember you. It's been awhile," she commented.
She had never met Uzuri or Sorkalai, but catching their names from Khairi, she said, "Hello, Uzuri and Sorkalai." Looking a little embarrassed, and unsure of how to take a compliment, she said, "And thank you, Sorkalai."
Aluna looked over at Uzuri when the blue and pink Pykiin began to laugh, confusion all over her face. Then she noticed how Uzuri's daughters were acting. The pale yellow Pykiin nearly burst out laughing along with Uzuri. Instead, she kept a wide smile on her face, her eyes glittering in amusement.

"Please, call me Sorka." She looked around at all of them, including them in the request. "Sorkalai is so long, and so formal sounding."
"Of course you are proud of them. Even more, when they act like fools." Sorka laughed with Uzuri. "My little Sonea is so full of energy, she can't help but get herself into situations she can't get out of. But I love her all the more for it."
Smiling down at the kiins, she thought of her own back at the nursery. Sonea was such a wonderful child, even if she had seemingly boundless energy. "So much energy," she said with a contented sigh, "They certaintly know how to run their mothers ragged, don't they?"
