Bern is the last of my trio of customs. He is based on my favorite breed of dog, the Bernese Mountain Dog! I also have a pony character of the same name, with the same coloring. ^_^

Personality: quiet and cautious; a thinker; very sensative, emotions run deep in this boy but he doesn't show them
Likes: a calm day
Dislikes: loud noises
Pounce: is techincally in Ryuukokoro's pounce but doesn't live with the other Pykiin; lives with his adopted mother Kuri in a large tree in the Valley
Relationships: bonded to Yfandes the Syora; adopted mother-Ichiyazukuri; found a new friend in Maiara (Cameron's Pounce)
History:
Bern has no memories of his real family. His first memories are of being cold and lost in the snow. This was when Kuri found him, traveling through a mountain with Golden Day. She couldn't leave the newly-hatched kiin to expire by himself, so she took him in as her adopted son and he's been traveling with Kuri and Day ever since.
Bern is glad to be in the Valley, where it is safe and he has time to relax and observe the world around him. He likes his quiet time. He's also found a new friend, Maiara, whom he tends to want to protect because of her blindness.
Bern grew to love Maiara for her quiet ways and the simple way she viewed the world. He wanted to grow even closer to her, but at about that time Maiara revealed to him that she had fallen in love with Tiger, and the two were to be soulmated. Depressed but not showing it, Bern spends most of his time alone these days.
